- Feel: "You know, I've done a (drum) clinic in L.A. Nice kids, but they all asked the same question, this "how did you work out that fill?" I told them I don't know. I feel it, it's that particular day, who knows? Just play. Let your personality come out." -Manu Katche...

| Ryan Donald |
|
Ryan Donald started playing music in fifth grade with the trumpet being his first instrument. After picking up the bass in eighth grade, though, he knew he had found his true passion. He studied bass throughout his high school career at the Savannah Arts Academy, eventually becoming first chair bassist in both the school’s orchestra and its internationally acclaimed Skyelite Jazz Band. A graduate of the Atlanta Institute of Music, he’s been playing bass for almost ten years now and has covered a wide range of styles in his professional career, including rock, jazz, classical, reggae, hip-hop, and blues, to name some of the more popular genres. He has also been playing with current Vision Music instructor Josh Martin in various bands and projects since 2005. Their current creative venture, Little Tybee, blends ambient jazz and progressive acoustic folk with a pop tinge to create a sound that is challenging, yet instantly palatable. When not playing music, Ryan can generally be found reading a book or pondering the infinite creativity of the Universe. |
